Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast‑paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers. We are expanding our infrastructure management team and looking for technology managers with people‑management experience, strong technical understanding, and a drive to elevate AWS Data Center Operations.

• Operationally responsible for a data center.
• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of a diverse team(s) across locations.
• Develop career paths and update internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to maintain staffing levels.
• Ensure efficient day‑to‑day data center operations, including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangements, and hardware logistics.
• Act as subject‑matter expert across all aspects of data center operations.
• Ensure KPIs and metrics are measured and met.
• Drive process improvements, technology innovation, and automation.
• Lead large‑scale events (outages) and act as call leader.
• Improve workflows and throughput for data center operations.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures meeting industry best practices and required SLAs.
• Maintain on‑call schedule and coordinate absences and vacations.
• Passion for quality and continuous improvement of the customer experience.

• 4+ years of IT experience or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of operations and on‑call support for data center facilities, mission‑critical plants, or production facilities.
• 2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment.
• Experience with networking or computer hardware.

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• Experience with Linux, networking protocols, and networking administration and troubleshooting.

Base pay ranges from $70,700 per year to $158,000 per year depending on geographic market. Total compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits.
