We are seeking an experienced SAP Security Access Analyst to support user access management across the SAP application landscape. This role is highly collaborative, responsible for managing SAP access requests through Service Now, partnering directly with end users to understand role-based access needs, and ensuring appropriate access is provisioned in alignment with business and ISO information security standards. The ideal candidate has strong SAP access administration experience, communicates effectively with end users, and is comfortable working in an onsite enterprise environment.
IncidentSupport & Access Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues reported during security incidents.
- Identify the root cause of access failures, including incorrect role assignments, expired credentials, or policy violations.
- Restore secure access quickly to minimize business disruption.
- Document incident handling activities for audit, compliance, and knowledge‑sharing purposes.
- Apply strong knowledge of SAP roles (Parent, Derived, Business Roles), SAP GRC Access Control 12.0, user administration, and the overall SAP user access lifecycle.
- Utilize working knowledge of core SAP business processes such as Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) to validate appropriate access.
- Receive, analyze, and fulfill access‑related service requests from business users.
- Identify the correct SAP roles needed for each request while ensuring least‑privilege and RBAC (Role‑Based Access Control) principles are met.
- Submit and manage requests within SAP GRC to enable proper workflow, approval, and provisioning.
- Monitor, track, and follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely completion.
- Recommend and implement automation, workflow enhancements, or self‑service solutions to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
- Streamline processes to improve turnaround time and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Manage and process SAP access requests submitted through Service Now.
- Meet directly with end users to understand their job functions and determine the appropriate level of SAP access.
- Provision, modify, and revoke access in alignment with internal security policies and ISO security standards.
- Serve as a liaison between end users, IT teams, and security groups to ensure proper communication and fast issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation for SAP roles, access decisions, provisioning steps, and standard procedures.
- Support ISO audits and internal/external reviews focused on access controls, user management, and compliance readiness.
Skills & Qualifications Required Skills & Experience
- Experience administering SAP access in an enterprise environment.
- Experience working with Service Now or a similar ITSM ticketing platform.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical access decisions.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Experience supporting ISO‑aligned environments or audits.
- Familiarity with SAP ECC, S/4
HANA, or related SAP modules. - Prior experience in a customer‑facing IT or security role.
This is a Contract position based out of Lisle, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
