HGV Class 1 Drivers

Overview

At MM Freight, we provide fast, efficient and reliable transport of chilled, frozen and ambient goods across the UK, ROI and Europe. We are currently recruiting qualified and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers for our Ireland team. We have full time positions available for day shift drivers on a 5 day/6 day pattern. Applications for part-time work, particularly for weekend shifts, are also welcomed.

• Liaise with the planning team to determine routes and schedule for delivery to our customers across Ireland
• Adhere to road traffic law and Drivers Hours Regulations at all times
• Complete daily walk around checks to assist with vehicle maintenance and ensure roadworthiness, and record results
• Ensure all relevant documentation is correct, present and delivered to customers and/or the office
• Maintain a high standard of customer service during deliveries
• Adhere to company health and safety, vehicle security and breakdown procedures
• Report all changes to your licence and respond to all communications from the compliance team
• Ensure vehicles are clean and secure at the end of each shift

• Holds a valid HGV Class 1 licence with a maximum of 6 points and a Driver Tachograph card
• Minimum six months experience in a commercial driving role
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Friendly and confident customer service manner
• Available to work at weekends
• Has the right to work in the UK
