With a modern fleet of more than 120 vehicles and 200 trailers, we deliver just-in-time services while prioritizing environmental sustainability.
We are currently seeking a Stock Controller to join our team at our Lisburn Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Coordination:
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure the efficient and accurate flow of goods from warehouse to customer.
- Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, maintaining positive relationships with external hauliers, delivery drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with external hauliers and delivery drivers to allocate bays and manage priorities effectively.
- Support the warehouse team with generating, updating and reviewing pick layouts to ensure efficiency and stock integrity.
- Inventory Management:
- Accurately record daily deliveries and shipments to maintain data for inventory reconciliation.
- Manage receipting and dispatching of products on the computerised stock system, ensuring accuracy throughout.
- Generate and effectively communicate picking orders to warehouse staff.
- Track loading and delivery times, addressing any issues promptly.
- Process Improvement and Reporting:
- Develop and implement inventory standards for staff compliance.
- Use computer systems to monitor inventory flow, scan stock, reconcile discrepancies and track value added services.
- Analyse inventory levels on daily, weekly and monthly basis providing feedback and data analysis to senior management.
- Customer Service:
- Coordinate the supply of goods to customers, ensuring complete and timely deliveries.
- Address customer queries promptly to maintain satisfaction and protect the company’s reputation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Self‑motivated with effective time management skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with customers.
- Professional telephone manner and flexible approach to accommodate departmental needs.
- Previous experience in inventory, warehousing, or logistics.
- Strong IT proficiency and familiarity with stock management systems.
- Employment Type:
Full-time, permanent. - Schedule:
Monday to Friday, day and mid‑shift (40 hours per week as per rota), with rotational Saturdays as overtime. - Salary: £27,000 - £29,000.
