HB Recovery Team Leader

The Housing Benefit Recovery Team Leader is part of a specialist team responsible for the recovery of off-benefit Housing Benefit over payments, Housing Benefit Administrative Penalties and Low Income Rate Relief over payments.

• To assist in implementing business improvement initiatives and monitoring Key Performance Indicators to ensure over payment recovery targets and strategic objectives are met.
• To support the Housing Benefit Recovery Manager in the day-to-day running of Housing Benefit Recovery Office.
• To supervise an operational team in applying over payment recovery policies from Estates, Direct Earnings Attachments and from Universal Credit payments.
• To provide quality assurance of activities within the Housing Benefit Recovery Office, including the monitoring of HB over payment reports.

• A degree level qualification (Level
  6) or an equivalent level qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or Social Policy etc AND Minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience working within a Housing Benefit over payment recovery
