Step into a pivotal role within a proactive in-house tax team as a Tax Accountant – Indirect Tax. This hybrid position allows you to manage indirect tax compliance and reporting for a primarily UK-based group with Irish operations, while also contributing to advisory projects and strategic initiatives.

• 35 days annual leave (36 after 2 years)

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CTA qualified
• Solid experience in UK VAT and indirect tax compliance
• Keen to expand knowledge of UK and Irish indirect tax
• Able to manage own workload confidently while supporting team members

• Oversee all areas of indirect tax compliance, including VAT, customs, and CIS
• Prepare and review Group VAT returns and reconciliations
• Ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready
• Offer guidance and training to finance and operational teams

• Act as the main contact for HMRC, Revenue Commissioners, external auditors, and advisors
• Assist the Tax Manager with projects, technical queries, and process enhancements
• Highlight opportunities to streamline internal processes and boost efficiency

• Monitor legislative changes and advise the business on impact
• Attend internal meetings to provide an overview of indirect tax positions
• Support strategic initiatives led by the Tax Manager
