As a firm, they manufacture products that are highly sought after, From concept, you will work within your team to design, develop, prototype and test products. This role is working with a close team of experienced and collaborative Mechanical Design Engineers. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The position of Senior Design Engineer:
Development products from concept through to manufacture, both individually, or as a member of a project team using Solid Works Work to required deliverables, ensuring design projects are on time and within budget Support prototyping by providing accurate data to the prototyping resources Support product/project reviews Ensure all products are thoroughly tested and meet regulatory requirements Work with other Designers, Implementation Engineers, departments, test labs, suppliers and contractors to ensure the successful project completion Adhere to design procedures and protocols, keeping electronic files Communicate project briefs to the design team Research projects thoroughly covering user needs, market requirements and technical requirements To be successful for this role: A minimum of 5 years Mechanical Design Experience

Experience of designing and managing products from concept through development to full production A thorough understanding of manufacturing process including plastics and metal fabrication Strong concepting, visualization and problem solving skills Strong 3D design package experience such as Solid Works The successful candidate will receive:
