Mechanical Estates Officer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Mechanical Estates Officer for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities- To provide effective leadership in the management of areas of the Estates Operations and Maintenance Section as above and implement Estates policy action plans.
- Responsible for Mechanical trade's workforce and their day to day provision of maintenance.
- To be accountable for the productivity output of the Mechanical trades and to ensure that standards of workmanship are maintained above agreed limits in a safe manner.
- To provide effective technical support to designated trade staff in order to ensure the reliability and efficiency of engineering plant and services are maintained.
- To identify and advise on training requirements within the managed trade.
- To order materials, services and authorise payment of invoices regarding managed trade.
- To assist in the co-ordination and development of the Departments quality system.
- An equivalent qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering discipline.
- BTEC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Completion of a registered apprenticeship or structured training program in Mechanical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.
- At least 2 years post training, site experience having demonstrated high versatility and flexibility.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, equipment or Building services installation, alteration, maintenance or fault finding.
c £37,338 per annum, plus discount benefits.
