Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Park Recruit are currently working with an industry leader within the construction sector, in the recruitment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their NI based team. With extensive experience in delivering multi million pound projects within the healthcare, commercial and education sectors, this client is progressively growing and are at a stage where they need to bolster their commercial department.

Joining an established team, this role will be responsible for undertaking pre and post contract quantity surveying services and assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of building construction framework agreements. Duties:
Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts. Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems. Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation. Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments. Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities. Preparation of Interim valuations and final account. Managing and valuing variations. Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts. Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.

Requirements:
Third level qualification in QS or Construction management. 3-5 years experience with a Main Contractor or Subcontractor in the UK or NI. Proficient in Microsoft excel and project Driven Team player Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role will be hybrid based 1 day working from home / 4 days office based initially. Minimal UK travel required ( 1 day per fortnight max) An excellent salary + benefits package, along with extensive internal development opportunities will be on offer for the successful candidate.
