Temporary Assistant Arts Information and Education Officer - Lisburn
Cultural and Community Services Unit - Arts Service
Key Purpose of the Job:
The post holder is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and evaluation of administrative and promotional information for the Arts Service. Communicating directly with clients in relation to the effective delivery of the Arts Service both at ISLAND Arts Centre and on an outreach basis.
Duties:
Undertake administrative tasks using a range of computerised software systems to ensure the effective function of all Arts Service information and promotional activities.
Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports/ questionnaires, undertaking marketing analytics techniques to gather important data through social media, web analytics, rankings etc.
updating spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information, as required.
Assist in the organisation of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and preparing and delivering promotional presentations, when required.
Assist with the composition and posting of online content on the Arts Service website and other social media accounts, as required.
Assist with the organisation and event management of all Arts Service activities, as required
. Any other such duties as may be allocated and participation in the interchange of duties to cover for staff breaks, sickness, leave and staff vacancies, training etc.
Essential Criteria:
It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:
Qualifications:
1.1 - Five GCSE passes, grade A-C, NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
Experience:
1.2 - A minimum of three years' experience of working in arts administration.
Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of five years' experience as outlined in 1.2 above.
Technical Competencies/
Skills:
Competent in the use of Word for word processing and text production
Competent in the use of Excel, Outlook and Calendar
Experience in the use of social media
Working Arrangements:
The ability to work evening and weekends, as and when required.
Desirable Criteria:
1.3 - A knowledge and understanding of the leisure industry

Location: Lisburn
Hours: 37.00 hours per week (working in office 3 days per week 2 at home)
Start Date: 23 March 26
