Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant Lisburn We are working with a well-established and reputable business based in Lisburn who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy office environment, supporting the day-to-day finance function as well as assisting with general office administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained across multiple areas of the business.

This opportunity would suit someone organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a broad workload across transactional finance, reporting, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing sales and purchase invoices Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs Sterling and euro bank reconciliations Credit card reconciliations Preparing and reconciling VAT returns Preparing sub-contractor CIS and RCT returns Reconciling property rental income and property-related expenses Supporting general office administration, including reception cover when required Who Were Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts (essential) Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload Experience preparing VAT, CIS, and RCT returns would be desirable Experience managing customs declarations on TSS would be advantageous but not essential If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.
