- Engineering Degree Required, strong HVAC skills in refrigeration, strong trouble shooting and maintenance experience
- Expenses:
Mileage provided while driving to work sites in the area. Mileage is to the site and between sites is covered. - The mileage home is not covered. One direction pay on days they go to sites other than the office address. On days there is no drive to a site, the technician isn’t always required to come to the office address.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment
- Conduct system performance tests and ensure units meet manufacturer and code standards
- Perform routine maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and component inspections
- Provide excellent customer service while explaining repair needs, options, and recommendations
- Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and applicable codes and regulations
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or emergency service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience preferred (or entry level for apprentice roles)
- Valid EPA 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills - Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments, including outdoors, rooftops, and confined spaces
- Experience with smart thermostats and building automation
- Familiarity with both residential and light commercial systems
- Electrical and refrigeration background
Field based role with daily travel to customer locations
