Linux Systems Administrator; AWS Security Clearance

Position: Linux Systems Administrator (AWS) with Security Clearance
** Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph REQUIRED

* Security+ Cert
* 10 years of experience as a System Administrator
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
* 5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:

* Creates, and maintains Red Hat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
* Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
* Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
* Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
* Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Apply patches and upgrades.
* Troubleshoot server issues.
* Administer customer accounts
* Deploy monitoring tools.
* Deploy applications and tools.
* Assist with escalated customer tickets.
* Installation and cabling of equipment

Required Experience:

* Linux command line system administration (CentOS, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
* Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
* Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
* Experience or knowledge of Red Seal Network Mapping tool a plus
* Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi) Desired

Experience:

* Syslog/Nx Log  
* Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
* Scripting experience (Python/Perl) Salary: $175,000 - $185,000 annually ---------- Excellent benefits package including 25 days PTO, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and dependents - available day 1, 8% 401(k) employer match - immediate vesting.
