The Opportunity

Are you ready to shape the future of global security? The Intelligence Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Strategic Communications Specialist to work in our Linthicum, MD location. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) mission. In this mission we provide comprehensive operational, analytical, technical, forensic, and program management support to DC3, specifically the Plans and Policy organization.

Contract Status:
Proposal Phase/Contingent Upon Award.

Security Clearance:
Active DoD Secret required. We are not able to sponsor the clearance requirement.

What you'll be doing: The Strategic Communications Specialist implements and facilitates strategic communications in support of DC3, enabling strategic, operational, and tactical communication efforts to enhance internal and external messaging and outreach. This role coordinates and executes marketing communication initiatives, including public relations, special events management, advertising, and brand awareness, while developing and maintaining communication standards across multiple channels such as periodicals, web services, publications, presentations, and digital platforms.

The Specialist supports the development and distribution of news and informational content for internal and external audiences, produces and disseminates communications products and services in accordance with applicable service level agreements, and assists the DC3 Public Affairs Office in documenting strategic, operational, and tactical engagements within standard operating procedures to support operational efficiency and continuity of operations.

Needed Experience, Skills, and

Education:

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years or relevant experience or a Masters degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience in Intelligence or Cyberspace communications and/or Federal and/or DoW policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Clearance Needed:

Preferred Experience , Skills, and

Education:

• Experience supporting the DC3 strategic communications mission.
