Responsibilities
  • Staff & workload planning: forecast staffing needs and allocate workload to meet project goals and budgets.
  • People management & development: build inclusive teams, set goals, train, coach and provide performance feedback.
  • Talent acquisition & retention: recruit top engineering talent and implement strategies to keep them engaged.
  • Technical leadership: lead digital engineering projects and conduct design reviews to ensure quality.
  • Inter‑program coordination: lead IPTs, coordinating across teams to align schedules and resolve dependencies.
  • Business development & proposal support: offer technical consulting for proposals to win new business.
  • Change management: champion initiatives that drive organizational change for competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with directors and managers of other engineering disciplines, program directors and program managers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years, or a Ph.D. with 3 years in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.
  • Current or active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain or maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • 2 years of experience managing employees or a project, including mentoring and building highly engaged teams.
  • 3 years of experience designing and/or leading digital design projects.
  • 3 years of experience in all aspects of the digital design process, from requirements analysis through verification testing.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience leading teams in a multi‑disciplined engineering environment.
  • Experience managing digital hardware, FPGA, ASIC, SoC, or digital subsystem design projects.
  • Knowledge of current digital technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance.
  • Effective problem‑solving and relationship‑building across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build diverse and inclusive teams with high engagement.
  • Broad skill set balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across sector business areas.

Standard work schedule: 9‑80 (nine-hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).
Primary salary range
: $149,400 – $224,000. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives may apply. PTO includes company paid holidays and vacation time. Additional benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, and paid time off.
