Individuals interested in becoming a Classified Substitute must email Patty Gomez at to express interest and receive next step instructions. After the online application has been submitted and reviewed, and reference clearance in accordance with SB 848 has been finalized, Human Resources will contact eligible applicants to complete the LUSD Classified Substitute Packet. Substitute packets will not be issued until these steps have been completed.
Completion of the interest form or application does not guarantee approval or clearance for substitute employment. Applicants selected to move forward will be required to complete:
Fingerprint clearance (at the applicant's expense) TB clearance All required onboarding documents Valid driver's license Social Security card All pre-employment requirements must be completed and approved prior to beginning substitute employment.
