Responsibilities- Daily maintenance and janitorial cleaning of housing, buildings, and grounds
- Picking up litter and vacuuming
- Maintain waste disposal rooms, recycling facilities, and carry out compacted garbage bags for curb side pick‑up
- Cut and trim lawns, prepare and plant flower and shrub beds, clean debris from lawns
- Operate machinery and equipment related to facility maintenance functions (e.g., lawnmowers, weed trimmers)
- Operate City vehicles for the purpose of travel to various work locations; trailering equipment such as lawn equipment if applicable
- Ability to perform physical labour outdoors for long periods of time
- Previous experience driving ¾ ton pick‑up and towing trailers
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions and work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools and gasoline or electric motorised equipment
- Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G2” Driver’s Licence or higher
Minimum of age 16, registered as a full‑time student during the preceding academic year (2025‑2026), and registered as a full‑time student with the intent to return to school on a full‑time basis during the next academic year (2026‑2027).
