Under the close supervision of the Aquatics Manager, the Aquatic Assistant Manager (LG/Safety) will perform professional duties to ensure the proper pre-season and day-to-day operation of the facility and to supervise all Aquatic Supervisors, Lifeguards, and Flow Instructors for the summer season.

• Performs work related to hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, etc., to help the aquatics staff.
• Works closely with the Aquatics Manager to manage the facility for the duration of the summer months from late March to mid-September
• Oversees employees including, but not limited to:
  Supervisors, Lifeguards, Flow Instructors, etc.
• Assists in overseeing proper sanitation, general pool chemicals, and maintenance of pool equipment.
• Assists in overseeing the proper handling of pool reports and money handling
• Response to patron inquiries and concerns
• The employee will be required to assist staff and perform all other related work duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager
• Special Requirements include serving as an "on-call" employee for emergencies or facility/rental problems

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply
• Hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or be able to obtain recertification within a month of hiring
• The ability to work from mid-March to mid-September
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit within a month of hiring
• Must have a valid Utah Driver's License
• Must maintain the ability to complete the swimming test of the Lifeguard certification
• Must have communication skills to communicate effectively and efficiently with the guests, other staff, management, etc.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must have at least two years of Lifeguarding experience
• Must have at least one year of supervisory experience

• Optional certifications and experience include WSI Certification with one-year of teaching, AFO/CPO Certification, LGIT/WSIT Certification, and Customer Service with one-year of experience.

This position works a variety of different times, and the schedule will be determined upon hiring. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be included.
