About the roleWe’re looking for a SEO Specialist to join the Grit Marketing team. This is a hybrid SEO + Content role perfect for someone who loves writing, researching, and optimizing content to rank. You’ll manage our blog content calendar, write SEO-focused articles, optimize web pages for performance, and support PR projects that elevate our brand across external publications and media outlets. You’ll work closely with marketing strategists, graphic designers, and leadership to ensure our content ranks, generates leads, and strengthens our online presence.
Whatyou’ll do Content Creation & Management
- Plan, write, and manage SEO-driven blog articles and web content.
- Build content briefs based on keyword research and search intent.
- Own the editorial calendar—ensuring consistent, high-quality publishing.
- Take initiative to lead content execution, coordinating with writers, designers, and freelancers to produce SEO-optimized, high-performing content.
- Optimize meta titles, descriptions, internal linking, and content structure.
- Update and improve existing pages to increase organic visibility and conversion.
- Monitor indexing, page performance, and ranking improvements in Search Console.
- Assist with crafting PR content such as press releases, thought leadership articles, partner spotlights, and brand statements.
- Collaborate on outreach strategies to secure backlinks and external publication opportunities.
- Support reputation management by producing SEO-aligned content that improves brand sentiment.
- Create & track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and engagement metrics.
- Build simple dashboards and reports that show SEO and content performance.
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, rankings, etc.).
- Experience managing content in Word Press.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush, etc.).
- Confident writer who can create clear, compelling, value-driven content.
- Ability to take complex ideas and turn them into easy-to-read articles.
- Experience writing blog content, landing pages, or PR copy is a major plus.
- Self-starter with strong ownership of projects.
- Detail-oriented and organized—able to manage deadlines and multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- 1–2+ years of experience in SEO, copywriting, or digital content management.
- Portfolio or writing samples that show your ability to write SEO-optimized content.
- Experience supporting PR or brand communications is a plus (not required).

- Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
