Shift

11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Purpose

The Material Requisition Coordinator is responsible for sending out material requests, monitoring all material requests and returns, verifying materials, and making accurate transfers in the system.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage material requests and maintain accurate records.
  • Work cross-functionally with all teams to build a robust process.
  • Perform employee trainings, including:
    • New Hire Orientation
    • Submitting returns
    • Scanning materials into IMS
    • Audits – SQF, etc. and document all trainings
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to FIFO, FEFO, HOLDS, and expiry of materials.
  • Review schedule 48 hours in advance and build a 48‑hour plan.
  • Verify materials have arrived for production for the next shift.
  • Inventory materials on hand and ensure only 4 hours of materials are on the floor at a time.
  • Model and support the Candy Co Safety Culture and strive for 100% safety compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have an excellent safety record and champion a safety culture.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling.
  • Positive leader with strong communication and organization skills.
  • Bilingual: must be able to speak and write in English and Spanish.
  • Strong PC skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Self‑motivated with a high degree of integrity.
  • Can perform job duties with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
  • Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Experience with SAP, ROSS, PLEX, ERP or other IMS environment is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including holidays and/or weekends.
  • Ability to work on their feet 8+ hours at a time.
  • Must wear non‑slip resistant work shoes.
Physical Requirements
  • Pre‑shift stretch and exercises must be performed.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, sit at a desk, walk, lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.
  • All required PPE must be worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals, including:
    • Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and safety gloves.
  • Requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates, as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.

This position has no direct reports and reports to the Shift Production Manager.
