Job DescriptionThe Principal of the Special Education Transition Program provides educational leadership, instructional oversight, and administrative management of a post‑secondary special education transition program serving students ages 18‑22. The program emphasizes community‑based learning, vocational training, life skills development, and post‑school outcomes aligned with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The Principal ensures a safe, inclusive, and outcomes‑focused learning environment; maintains compliance with special education and disability laws; supervises and develops staff; manages budgets and resources; fosters partnerships with community agencies, employers, and families to support student success in employment, education, independent living, and community participation; and prepares families with information about community resources.
Qualifications- Special Education degree or Special Education leadership experience
- Master's degree
- Administrative license
- Previous experience as a school level administrator
