Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Lindenhurst, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, including handling certified payrolls and managing garnishments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in payroll operations and contribute to the efficiency of our team.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process certified payrolls in compliance with applicable regulations.

- Oversee full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring all employee payments are accurate and timely.

- Manage payroll for a workforce ranging from 101 to 500 employees.

- Handle payroll garnishments, including accurate documentation and timely processing.

- Utilize Excel for payroll data management and reporting.

- Collaborate with team members to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll regulations.

- Assist with payroll-related tasks on new state portal systems.

- Maintain organized payroll records and documentation for audits and reviews.

Requirements - Proven experience in payroll processing, including certified payrolls.

- Proficiency in managing full-cycle payroll operations.

- Familiarity with payroll systems for employee groups of 101-500.

- Knowledge of handling payroll garnishments and related processes.

- Strong skills in Excel for data management and reporting.

- Understanding of state and federal payroll compliance requirements.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and address payroll-related concerns.
