AB Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to support students in the Lindenhurst / Greater Chicago area for the school year.

Contract
:
Full school year | 37.5-40 hrs/week | Follows school calendar.

Competitive weekly pay:
Up to $2,200 per week.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach and support students with diverse learning needs in a structured and caring environment.
• Develop and implement IEPs and engaging, adaptive lesson plans.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals.
• Maintain compliance and documentation with care and attention to detail.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Endorsement (LBS1).
• Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education.
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
  May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
