Job Overview

A Child's Place of Lindenhurst is a licensed childcare center seeking a Director Qualified Lead Teacher to support our School Age classroom.

Requirements:
Director qualification through an Associate's or Bachelor Degree in ECE, background checks, prior childcare experience a plus.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.

Compensation: $21 - $23/hour based on education and experience.

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
