About the Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manage FCL, LCL and special cargo (OOG) rate requests and lead the responses.
  • Manage the RFQ Process for Global FCL and LCL Sea Freight Tenders and leading RFQ in timely response.
  • Expert with pricing tools, databases, and processes.
  • Managed and updated the existing customers pricing.
  • Reviewed all sales requests for potential clients and offered rates based on market trends for each trade zone.
  • Analyzed changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and fees to develop, implement and track appropriate pricing strategies.
  • Proactively effectively communicate market/pricing/target strategies with our vendors and staff.
  • Independently analyze coming requests questions by using experience / strategy.
  • Negotiated rates and / or space allocation with steamship lines in support to Latin America, Trans-Pacific West/East Bound, Middle East, Oceania, Trans-Atlantic East/West Bound Trade lanes and Africa trade lanes.
  • Will collaborate closely with sales team, Kings Group Logistics branches and worldwide offices in developing strategy for winning success ratio of the sales staff.
  • Must be able to handle multiple requests at the same time.
  • Learn and understand the various pricing tools available to the team, such as reading the contracts, having skill on obtaining rate from the internal portal, being familiar with steam ship lines website.
  • Utilize logistics knowledge and experience to support and manage Sea freight pricing.
  • Provide sales support by issuing quotes on international trade lanes for existing and potential clients on services including spot rates, tenders, rate matrices and more, through the assistance of an Account Executive.
  • Generate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.
  • Coordinate with Account Executive(s) to generate new leads/quotations and improve/optimize their sales process.
  • Develop presentations for Account Executive(s) to present to potential customers.
  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
  • Support in the organization and maintenance of relationships throughout Kings Group Logistics’ portfolio.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors through the collaboration of an Account Executive.
  • Enter information pertaining to potential leads and current customers in the active CRM, Mailchimp.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams on an as needed basis for alternate options, rate discrepancies, etc.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team specific requirements.
Work Schedule

Office 9:00 am-6:00 pm EST

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office Suites.

Education & Experience
  • Associate's degree preferred and 1-5 years of experience related to sales support and/or account management in a B2B setting.
  • Must have basic knowledge of pricing and sales procedures to in order to generate accurate reports.

Effectively handle procurement duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Must have 2 years experience in Sea Freight Pricing or Procurement
  • 1-5 years of experience supporting Account Executives in a B2B environment.
  • Must have 5 years experience working for a freight forwarder or steamship line
  • Analytical skills related to supply chain, logistics, and transportation.
  • Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Communicate accurately and in a fast-paced, teamwork environment.
  • Computer literate and able to adapt to using in-house computer systems.
  • Entry level candidates with a degree related to supply chain/ international business or logistics.
  • Knowledge of quoting customers, the sales cycle and CRM system.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing conditions.
