Position Title: Pulmonologist / Sleep Medicine Physician

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled, board-certified/board-eligible general Pulmonologist with experience in Sleep Medicine to join our outpatient practice in Linden, NJ. This is a 100% outpatient, full-time position with a four-day work week (Monday – Thursday) and no inpatient responsibilities, designed to support work-life balance. The ideal candidate will be available to start in 2026.

The role focuses on high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting and involves building lasting relationships with patients.

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with pulmonary diseases, including COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage sleep-related disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
• Conduct patient consultations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and sleep studies.
• Develop and implement effective, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in a light, shared outpatient call schedule.

• Manageable schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week with a predictable, collegial call schedule shared among providers.

• Full complement of support staff, including certified medical assistants, medical receptionists, and a practice manager.
• Newly renovated office with EKG, x-ray, lab draws, and a pulmonary function machine.

• Medical Degree (MD or DO).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine is required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in New Jersey or eligible for licensure.
• Current DEA registration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. The minimum base salary for this position is $361,066 annually. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good-faith estimate of the minimum base pay at the time of posting and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package. The final compensation and benefits package will be discussed during the interview process.
