The HR Director will serve as the senior HR leader across two closely aligned businesses (approximately 150 employees total) and will lead the development of a shared services HR function alongside Finance and IT.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced HR professional who can assess what is in place, identify opportunities for improvement, and build scalable, people‑centered HR processes. The HR Director will partner closely with senior leadership to shape culture, enhance manager capability, and support the organization through continued growth and evolution.

The role reports directly to the CFO and manages one direct report, an HR Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead HR as a shared Center of Excellence across two distinct organizations with different cultures and operating models
  • Assess current HR practices and proactively recommend improvements and scalable solutions
  • Formalize and enhance manager training and development programs
  • Revamp the performance review and feedback process
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook, policies, and compliance practices
  • Partner with leadership on culture, organizational strategy, and change management
  • Oversee employee relations matters with sound judgment and consistency
  • Provide guidance on recruiting strategy, workforce planning, and talent development
  • Manage and support an HR Specialist responsible for recruiting, HR administration, payroll, and benefits
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Finance and IT to build effective shared services
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 10–15 years of progressive HR experience
  • Prior experience as:
  • An HR Director at a smaller organization or
  • An HR Manager at a mid‑sized company (400–500 employees) ready for the next step
  • Strong ability to evaluate existing processes and lead thoughtful change
  • Proven experience with change management, particularly in environments with multiple cultures
  • Comfortable working in a founder‑led, creative organization
  • Hands‑on leader who can balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day execution
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and people‑focused leadership style
