Mechanical Design Engineer- CB

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEP engineering team. The Mechanical Design Engineer performs a variety of engineering tasks, and works with others on the design team (often a multi-disciplined team) to design innovative and technically sound solutions in accordance to project requirements and applicable codes. The individual designs HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, education, hospitality, government, residential, retail and industrial facilities.

The capability to coordinate with other building design disciplines is important. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of working/construction documents and familiarity with building codes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm.
• Base understanding of HVAC system design including airside ductwork and hydronic piping distribution.
• Knowledge of process piping, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Understanding coordination requirements between disciplines.
• Ability to read and understand Mechanical Systems Codes and Standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• LEED Accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of REVIT and discipline specific software packages such as Trane/Trace.
