The EJOT-ATF Applications Engineer, reporting to the Plant Sales Manager is responsible for partnering with internal and external EJOT-ATF customers to provide key technical support in the design, development and testing of product as well as support the growth of key customer accounts. Key components of the Applications Engineer role include but are not limited to account management, application support and testing, project generation, technical training and troubleshooting.

Position Responsibilities- Serve as a lead for the facilitation and coordination of product testing corresponding reporting within EJOT-ATF applications lab environments for key customer accounts.
- Lead product development discussions with customers to understand fastening needs and propose solutions to provide the lowest in place joint cost.
- Partner with EJOT-ATF customers to identify fastening system solutions including but not limited to boss designs, fastener designs and assembly considerations.
- Successfully manage and grow key customer accounts within EJOT-ATF’s established product lines and portfolio.
- Serve as a lead technical resource for EJOT-ATF customers to provide proactive solutions both internally and externally.
- Develop and distribute key technical data related to EJOT-ATF opportunities including potential solution offerings for our customers.
- Serve as a lead technical resource for EJOT-ATF technical presentations includes but not limited to customer education, troubleshooting and training and development for internal and external customers.
- Aid in identifying new licensed products to add to the EJOT-ATF portfolio.
- Provide Engineering support to Quality, Manufacturing, and Tooling as needed
- Interact with suppliers/subcontractors to obtain quotes if/as required
- Ensuring EJOT-ATF has all necessary customer specifications to quote and produce new parts
- Determine feasibility, materials, and manufacturing processes required to produce a new part (including the associated costs)
- Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
- Continuous improvement for your areas of responsibility
- Travel expectation is 30% of total year.
- Demonstrate excellent technical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated process improvement skills and problem solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at any given time.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles.
- Team player who can work in a fast paced, dynamic & demanding work environment.

- Proficiency in German and/or Spanish Language (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- One to five years’ experience in automotive industry or related engineer field preferred.
