Pay Range
: $34.50 – $34.50

Peldit it's a small acute care 101‑bed hospital in Lincolnton, NC, the only acute care hospital in the county. The role performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist and coordinates daily activities including examinations and clerical duties.

Major Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Document patient history for the specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation and verifying proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Consult with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment per the demands of each procedure, demonstrating correct anatomic positioning.
  • Maintain appropriate records in accordance with departmental standards.
Minimum

Job Requirements

Education
:
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.

Certification / License
:
Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required.

:
Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles and exhibits the skills and competencies appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers; handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment. Vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet are necessary.

Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and proximity to moving equipment is common. Adaptability to temperature and humidity changes is required.
