Abound Health is seeking Pre-Professionals to work as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role offers flexible schedules (mornings, evenings, weekends) that you can build around your classes.

- Patient Care & Support: Assist with activities of daily living, personal care, and mobility.

Skills:
Gain experience in medication administration, wound care, and monitoring physical and mental health needs. - Case Management & Advocacy: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs), serve as a patient advocate, and help individuals navigate community resources.
- Clinical Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation of care, service provision, and medication logs, a critical skill in all healthcare fields.
- Behavioral Support: Learn to implement positive behavior supports and de‑escalation strategies.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Pre‑Med, child education, or a related human services field.
- A strong desire to learn and gain hands‑on healthcare experience.
- Excellent communication, accountability, and time management skills.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
