Electrical Specialist; Night Shift

Our Lincolnshire, IL Finishing Plant is seeking to add a talented Electrical Specialist to our team.

As a member of the team, you can expect:

Excellent pay: Our Electricians receive a base pay of $40.20/hour. Employees receive premium pay (time and one-half) for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday and shift differential pay for evening shifts.

Incentive plan: Employees are eligible for a Productivity Incentive Plan after completing 90 days of service. The plan is paid monthly with a maximum payout of 5%.

New employees are immediately eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan, with a company match up to 2.5% and additional employer contributions of 4% after one year of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform breakdown, corrective, renovative, and preventative electrical maintenance.
• Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test instruments.
• Repair malfunctions by replacing fuses, defective wiring, and cleaning or repairing motors and controls.
• Apply knowledge of gauges, wiring diagrams, schematics, and properties of electricity to troubleshoot disabled or malfunctioning equipment.
• Plan procedures, develop sketches, and select tools, equipment, and materials suited for the job.
• Maintain communication equipment and wiring.
• Diagnose and resolve furnace burner problems.
• Climb on buildings, towers, and equipment for inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper isolation of circuits, energy control (lockout/tagout), and use of Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Operate forklifts and use articulating and rotating boom hoists, telescoping lifts, scissors lifts, and trucks.

Qualifications:

• Prioritize safety; demonstrate concern for personal and team safety.
• Be a team player and self-starter.
• Basic computer skills.
• Electrical aptitude and understanding of the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with PLC/Ladder Logic, motor drives, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work from blueprints and written instructions.
• Experience running conduit and wiring.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution principles.
• Willingness to train and enhance skills.
• Three to five years of industrial electrical experience or equivalent training and work experience.

The finishing mill in Lincolnshire, Illinois, established in 1966, is located 26 miles from Chicago. It produces mill finish coils for the construction and transportation industries, including gutters, siding, soffits, and facia.
