VP, Environmental, Health & Safety – Camping World
Hybrid position based in Lincolnshire, IL with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight over all EHS initiatives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS laws, rules, and regulations, operational effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.
- Enhance safety programs, policies, procedures, training, and audits to establish operational discipline and individual accountability.
- Lead and develop the EHS team to build a strong safety culture through leadership engagement, safety communication, behavioral-based safety programs, and compliance audits.
- Oversee federal, state, and local health and safety inspections, incident investigations, citation responses, timely regulatory reporting, and execution of remediation activities.
- Manage EHS budget, vendor contracts, and compliance technology platforms.
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships across operations, construction, legal, and finance.
- Partner with senior leadership to champion a culture of safety excellence and operational integrity.
- Establish and report key compliance metrics, safety‑related statistics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Travel up to 50%; some travel may require short notice.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred in occupational environmental, safety, and health (or similar) from an accredited college or university. - Minimum of fifteen years’ professional experience within environmental, health, and safety fields.
- Minimum of ten years professional experience leading a team and directing multiple sites in the environmental, health, and safety fields.
- Exceptional communication and executive‑level presentation skills.
- Certified Safety Professional certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals is required.
- Environmental Certification of Certified Hazardous Materials Manager through the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management is preferred.
- Strong influencing and executive level presence.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with leaders at all levels, from field operations to corporate executives.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead with ambiguity.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and risk management capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to oversee safety across a geographically diverse company.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel to all company locations in the US.
Pay range: $–$ per year.
