Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Business Hours

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a hospitality-focused Apartment Renovations Technician responsible for ensuring apartment homes are ready for showings and move-in. This role involves overseeing apartment turnover activities, managing inventory, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring high standards of quality and service. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while collaborating frequently with Sales, Plant Operations, and outside partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and assists with refurbishment of a vacated apartments to ensure they are ready for showings in a timely manner.
  • Orders, tracks, and maintains inventory related to apartment turnover; provides necessary reports to management.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for contractors involved in turnover activities, including appliance installation and removal.
  • Oversees contractor work throughout the renovation process to ensure adherence to Sedgebrook standards and timelines.
  • Conducts closing walk-throughs with new residents and demonstrates functionality of apartment features including appliances, HVAC, and life-safety components.
  • Attends move-in meetings and collaborates closely with Sales and Plant Operations teams.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school training or a minimum of one (1) year experience in residential apartments, commercial building, construction or maintenance.
  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record (MVR check upon hire and annually).
  • Knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate Sedgebrook's hospitality promises with residents, prospects, team members and outside partners.
  • Some knowledge of HVAC systems required.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively in English, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to collaborate with residents, families, visitors and staff with courtesy, flexibility, and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • May required occasional after-hours or on-call work.

Physical Requirements /Working Conditions

Moderate to heavy physical effort is required. Work may include exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); work in area with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment and moving parts; work on roofs or other elevated locations; exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust. Must be able to safely set up and climb ladders with tools and equipment, lift up to 50 lbs.,
