The purpose of this job is to provide quality, appropriate, and cost-effective medical care for patients.

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients to meet their medical needs.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to patients and families.
• Shares health‑care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
• Determines level of urgency of follow‑up, referral, and consultation appointments.
• Exercises final medical judgment in all health‑care issues.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services.
• Documents all services in the patient medical record.
• Reviews regular long‑term cases that require ongoing medical attention.
• Consults with the Medical Director and other staff regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues.
• Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient‑care programs established by the hospital or clinic.
• Oversees mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.
• Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
• Participates in teaching sessions for other hospital staff, residents, and/or medical students as required.

• MD:
  Medical Doctor required.
• Current DEA and all other required licenses related to specialty required.

Salary: $309,689 - $658,652. The pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
