International Logistics Coordinator – Hybrid | Lincolnshire, IL

This full‑time role is based in Lincolnshire, IL (north of Chicago) and transitions to a hybrid schedule after 30 days.
Pay range: $82,000.00/yr – $87,000.00/yr (base).

About the Role
The International Logistics Coordinator manages global import/export activities, ensures trade compliance, and supports efficient international shipping operations. The role works closely with overseas headquarters, customs brokers, government agencies, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues, improve processes and support accurate, on‑time order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international shipments and maintain trade compliance (USHTS, EPA, HTS updates). Communicate with overseas HQ (Japan), brokers, forwarders and carriers to resolve documentation and shipment issues.
- Lead international trade and process‑improvement projects.
- Negotiate freight rates and analyze shipping costs.
- Provide Japanese/English translation support.
- Arrange air/ocean export shipments and manage returnable pallet programs.
- Support EDI transmissions, insurance claims and CTPAT requirements.
- Monitor order progress and respond to customer logistics inquiries.
- Maintain data records, reports and documentation (ISO, Certificates of Origin).
- Support warehouse operations, captive accounts and cross‑departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of import/export regulations and trade compliance.
- Japanese language proficiency required (speaking, reading, writing).
- Strong English communication, customer service and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multitask hjælpe fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of international logistics
Yaw experience, including import/export coordination and U.S. trade regulations familiarity.
