Accounting Specialist

Overview

The Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the company’s growth. To successfully expand market share, LS must be easier to do business with than our competitors. Accurate, timely, and reliable accounting operations are essential to achieving this goal.

We are seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to analyze financial information, maintain accurate records, process outgoing payments, support payroll activities, and assist with tax‑related documentation as needed. This role ensures invoices are paid on time and customer receivables are properly tracked through precise financial record‑keeping.

• Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
• Process incoming payments via check, credit card, and EFT
• Receive, process, and reconcile financial statements
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Generate and review monthly financial reports
• Prepare and make bank deposits
• Assist with preparation for annual audits
• Prepare and distribute annual IRS forms
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
• Perform administrative and other related tasks as required

• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
• Strong math and research skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in typing and data entry
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Travel is not expected but may be required occasionally
