Technical Operator Food Production

4 ON 4 OFF - DAYS

A Technical Operator in food manufacturing ensures production lines run safely, efficiently, and consistently. The role blends machine operation, quality control, and problem-solving to keep food products flowing smoothly through the factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to meet daily output targets
• Set up, adjust, and change over equipment for different products
• Monitor line performance and respond quickly to faults or stoppages
• Carry out basic mechanical troubleshooting to minimise downtime
• Complete quality checks such as weight, temperature, and visual inspections
• Record production data accurately for traceability and compliance
• Follow food safety standards including HACCP, hygiene, and allergen controls
• Work with engineers and supervisors to improve line efficiency
• Support continuous improvement activities such as Lean or Kaizen
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
