We’re looking for an inspiring, knowledgeable and hands‑on EHS Manager to step into this established leadership role. If you’re ready to shape a safer, healthier and more sustainable future for a successful and growing manufacturing site, this is the place to do it.

As a global leader in flexible packaging, our values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement and Impact - drive everything we do. We’re continuing to invest in our people, processes and long‑term sustainability, and we’re looking for someone who can champion best practice, strengthen our culture and lead with confidence, clarity and care.

This is a high‑visibility, business‑critical position at the heart of our site leadership team, where your impact will be seen and felt every day.

What you’ll be doing…

In this established role, you’ll take ownership of all site EHS activity and play a key part in shaping the culture and direction of the site.

  • Championing and embedding a positive, proactive safety culture
  • Being a visible and trusted presence in operations, supporting teams daily
  • Coaching, influencing and engaging managers and employees to drive behavioural safety
  • Leading the ongoing development and improvement of our EHS Management Systems
  • Ensuring full compliance with UK EHS legislation and statutory inspections (LEV, lifting equipment, electrical systems, etc.)
  • Acting as the primary liaison with the HSE, Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies
  • Managing risk assessments, safe systems of work and documentation reviews
  • Leading thorough incident investigations, identifying root causes and preventing recurrence
  • Overseeing workplace monitoring such as noise, chemical exposure and LEV testing
  • Coordinating occupational health, health surveillance and follow‑up actions
  • Ensuring robust fire safety and first aid arrangements, including training and equipment
  • Delivering engaging, practical EHS training to employees, contractors and visitors
  • Conducting regular audits, inspections and compliance checks
  • Reporting EHS performance, insights and improvement opportunities to leadership

Your leadership will directly support the safety, wellbeing and effectiveness of our people, as well as the long‑term sustainability of the site.

What you’ll bring…

  • A proven track record in a manufacturing EHS role (ideally 5+ years) with the confidence to lead at site level
  • NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications (or working towards them with clear commitment to continued professional development)
  • A passion for engaging people, building trust and creating an environment where everyone feels responsible for safety
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive meaningful change through collaboration, coaching and credibility

What we offer...

  • Competitive salary up to £44,284.50
  • Company pension scheme
  • Discretionary performance‑based bonus
  • Life assurance
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Paid volunteer time to support causes important to you
  • Employee Assistance Programme – confidential mental health, wellbeing and financial advice
  • Free tea and speciality coffees in break areas
  • Free eye tests for screen users
  • Uniform and full PPE provided
  • Discounted/free food
  • Refer‑a‑friend scheme with rewards
  • Regular sponsored events and activities (including occasional Lincoln City FC tickets)
  • Close proximity to Lincoln city centre
  • Opportunities to get involved in site initiatives, engagement activities and continuous improvement projects
  • Clear opportunities for ongoing development, professional qualifications and career progression within Pro Ampac

At Pro Ampac, your work makes a difference - not only for our customers, but for our people and our community.
