JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
To support the Senior Resourcing Officer and Resourcing Manager in delivering a professional, effective and proactive advisory service, in relation to recruitment and selection of people resources. This includes a professional first point of contact service, and for providing innovative and effective solutions to recruitment needs and issues in partnership with strategic and operational line managers.
Demonstrate the force values at all times. All staff involved in carrying out functions in this role will do so in accordance with the principles of the Code of Ethics. The aim of the Code of Ethics is to support each member of the policing profession to deliver the highest professional standards in their service to the public.

Qualifications / Training- CIPD qualified (Desirable)
- Proven experience in a recruitment based role (Essential)
- Experience of data input and retrieval (Essential)
- Experience of working within a customer focused environment (Essential)
- Good organisational skills – able to plan, prioritise and coordinate activities to meet deadlines and deal with conflicting demands (Essential)
- Ability to use Microsoft office packages (Essential)
- Good understanding of diversity issues and positive action (Essential)
- Knowledge of recruitment and selection practices and procedures (Essential)
- Good communication skills – able to explain things clearly; good written communication at all levels (Essential)
- Able to develop strong working relationships at all levels (Desirable)
- Genuine desire to improve organisational performance (Essential)
- Self-motivated, and focused on achieving high levels of performance (Essential)
- Full manual car driving licence, with access to own vehicle for work purposes (Essential)
- Ability to travel to locations across the county as and when required (Essential)
