Complex Care Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team for our new client in Lincoln. Our client is a 13-year-old male with an optic nerve tumour, seizures and is blind. He has a hydrocephalus shunt, an NG tube and whilst he can walk, uses a wheelchair due to fatigue.

Monday – Friday hours available plus weekend shifts and longer weekday shifts during the school holidays.

Sleeping nights may also be required in the near future.

Full UK Drivers Licence with Business Insurance required

• Delivering personalised care routines.
• Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
• Encouraging and joining in with activities.
• Providing emotional support and companionship.
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

• Experience in a similar role working with brain injuries, seizures and individuals who are blind.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
• UK Full Driving Licence required (25
  
  Yrs old + for insurance purposes to drive clients WAV)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work the specified hours.
