About the Service

We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join a friendly and long-established residential care home, supporting up to 26 residents.

The home is owner-managed, who has owned and managed the service for over 18 years. Prior to this, worked as a Home Manager across a number of local services. Her long-term leadership provides stability, consistency, and a strong focus on high-quality, person-centred care.

The service is well regarded within the community and operates in line with CQC standards, offering residents a safe, warm, and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support residents with day-to-day care needs, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Whether working days or nights, you'll be an important part of a close-knit team delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Supporting residents' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
  • Assisting with meals, hydration, and light household duties
  • Overnight monitoring and comfort checks (night shifts)
  • Maintaining accurate care records
  • Promoting dignity, confidentiality, and person-centred care

Candidate Requirements

  • Care home experience preferred
  • A caring, professional, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people
