An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bassingham Surgery for an accomplished, highly motivated Practice Nurse.
Managing long term conditions and all treatment room services.
The applicant should be willing to learn new skills, work as part of a team and be flexible in their approach. In return they will be supported by a caring and professional team.
The ideal candidate will be NMC registered and have previous experience of working within Primary Care. They will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available.
Main duties of the jobThe main duties will include:
Delivery of Chronic Disease Clinics (to include Diabetes, full training will be provided if needed), QoF management, Routine Immunisations, Flu vaccinations, Childhood immunisations (delivered in line with nation vaccination programme) and other treatment room duties as required.
Provide associated clinical administrative duties such as processing clinical workflow, test results and referrals within your clinical competence.
About usBassingham Surgery is a busy three partner, rural, forward thinking and innovative, dispensing practice. We have a team of 25 staff with over 7,200 patients providing an excellent level of care and service.
We are part of South Lincoln Healthcare PCN alongside six other practices, employing additional roles, including Occupational Therapists, First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacists and Health & Wellbeing Coach, this aspect is continuing to develop constantly.
Job responsibilitiesThe position is part-time.

Person Specification Qualifications- Must have at least 1 years experience post qualification, in Primary Care/GP Practice as Practice Nurse. Must be competent in providing treatment room tasks and Chronic Disease Management. Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of chronic disease in Primary Care.
- Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of Diabetes or be prepared to undertake training in the very near future. Prescribe products to meet the needs of patients, with the practice population in line with local prescribing policy or be able to liaise competently with the GP's regarding medication.
- Must be NMC registered.
- Qualified in Diabetes management.
