An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated senior Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to lead our front door therapy team at Lincoln Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist who has wide ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient-centred care to join our Front door Therapy team.
The ideal candidate will have the motivation and passion to drive the development of the acute front door therapy service
As the team lead you will provide and develop your team to ensure a high standard of therapy service is delivered for the Front door specialty, including Frailty. You will be required to work closely in an integrated manner with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence, provide rapid assessments and facilitate safe, timely and appropriate discharges within the Emergency departments, medical assessment units and any other admission unit within Lincoln County Hospital.
You will play a major role in the overall service development of the team and specialty, working with senior team members, operational lead, Head of Therapies and manage, supervise the development of staff members within the team.
Therapies at the Front Door is a Trust wide service, you will be required to travel to other site (Pilgrim Hospital) as demands arise.

-7 day service working 8.00AM - to 8.00PM
Flexible working - Our extended hours provide the appointable candidate with the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits their needs.
The successful applicant will lead a developing an experienced clinical team of therapy staff of Bands 3-6 and will support the development of Therapy staff as part of the wider MDT to deliver evidence based interventions in the front door and frailty speciality. The successful candidate must be flexible, innovative & highly motivated. The role requires the appointed person to be proactive and adaptable to support the smooth and prompt transition of hospital care to the individuals' place of discharge, taking into account their needs.
The successful applicant will be well supported within the therapy department and will be encouraged to develop the service. This is an exciting time to join us; you will be part of a team that continues to deliver excellent services for our patients.
Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
