NXTGEN are supporting a high-growth, multi-site group with the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller to strengthen financial control, reporting and governance during a critical period of change and expansion. With increased complexity across the group and year-end approaching, this is a hands-on, senior interim role, working closely with the CFO to stabilise the finance function and provide clear, reliable financial insight to senior leadership.
The Interim Financial Controller will take ownership of the organisation's accounting operations, ensuring finance is robust, disciplined and decision-ready. Financial Reporting & Compliance Full ownership of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting Ensuring compliance with IFRS / UK GAAP Leading month-end and year-end close processes Acting as primary point of contact for external auditors, maintaining a strong and efficient audit process Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control Oversight of cost tracking and performance monitoring Ownership of capital budgeting and capex control Working closely with FP&A to ensure budgets, forecasts and financial controls are aligned and reliable Internal Controls & Governance Designing, embedding and strengthening internal control frameworks Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures and governance standards Proactively identifying and mitigating financial, balance sheet and operational risk Cashflow & Treasury Ownership of cashflow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital management Managing banking relationships and treasury activity Supporting investment, funding and financing decisions with clear financial insight You will be a technically strong, senior finance professional, comfortable stepping into a complex, fast-paced environment and quickly bringing structure and control.
Essential experience:
Fully qualified accountant Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise Confidence owning year-end delivery, audit management, cashflow and balance sheet governance Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability Clear, confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders This is a high-impact interim assignment offering exposure to senior decision-making and the opportunity to make a tangible difference quickly within a growing, entrepreneurial organisation.
There is potential for longer-term engagement for the right individual. The rate offered is dependent on experience
