Overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to support a Y6 child with an EHCP in our Year 5/6 class, starting February/March 2026. The successful candidate will work 17.5 hours per week (5 mornings and one full afternoon/two part afternoons) whilst the child remains at Ingham School. Scale: G3:6-9 pro rata.
We are looking for someone with a caring and nurturing approach for our lovely village school. Everything we do is focused on giving every child the best start in life. We offer a fun and stimulating curriculum that is enriched by exciting educational visits and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities- Work closely with our teaching staff to create exciting opportunities for learning so that all of our pupils can be successful, confident and caring.
- Provide a variety of in-class support and intervention work.
- Support the delivery of a Y6 child’s EHCP.
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant with excellent practitioner standards and high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Creative approach to teaching and learning; able to support individual children and groups.
- Previous experience or an interest in supporting children with SEND.
- Creative, reflective practitioner who can identify misconceptions and barriers to learning, including those related to personal and social development, and work to overcome these.
- Flexible to work additional hours if needed and willing to engage in the wider life of the village school.
- Experience of working with KS2 children and strong curriculum knowledge, particularly in English and Maths.
- Good team player with a determination to make school life positive, rewarding and enjoyable for everyone; a desire to nurture success, confidence and care in others.
