Inventory Control Clerk - 1st Shift

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Clerk will perform all tasks involved in managing inventories of raw material, sub-assemblies, and finished goods. This will include adjustments and cycle counting of all materials to effectively balance supply and demand for the product.

Core Functions
  • Utilize MRP system to generate inventory reports, such as excess and obsolete materials, material usage and demand.
  • Responsible for inventory management of material by cycle counts, entering adjustments, as required, in Visual Manufacturing.
  • Required to participate in Year End Physical Inventory.
  • Review and coordinate Engineering Change Notices with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly Bulk Issue Counts.
  • Inform Senior Buyer when inventory issues arise and provide recommended resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

Physical Requirements
  • This position is subject to Medium Work: exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions
  • The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
