Inventory Control Associate - Day Shift; TX

-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm; up to 4+ OT mandatory SUMMARY

Responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating root causes for inventory overages and/or shortages, reviewing held locations, and working with the Inventory Control Manager to establish minimums and maximums for pick slots. Also responsible for validating any variances from PO receipts and system status.

• Ensure all scheduled and immediate cycle counts are performed.
• Verify inventory and maintains accuracy of bin labels.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Perform routine aisle sweeps confirming empty locations.
• Process damaged and recoup product.
• Slot new items as required.
• Keeps supervisor informed of issues or problems that arise and refer matters beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties.
• Accurately record product dimensions, sizes, and weight.
• Safely operate forklift/pallet jack / cherry picker as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ year of relevant experience with warehouse inventory.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, and Word).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to multitask, and prioritize work.
• Can work independently, able to accurately record measurements in number, dimension, size, and weight.
• Ability to successfully complete forklift training and safety certification requirements.

• Previous knowledge of SAP, cycle counting and forklift experience.
