Part-Time Weekend Janitor

Starting Rate of Pay: $20.17 Per Hour

Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday, 1:30 P.M.

- 10:00 P.M., with the option to pick up additional shifts when available.

Introduction
The Janitor will maintain the cleanliness of the LNK Airport Terminal and other Lincoln Airport Authority facilities as assigned.

• Perform a variety of cleaning and disinfecting duties.
• Ensure all supplies and essentials are stocked.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
• Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time.

• Ability to speak, write, and read English fluently.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.

• Lift and/or move up to 50lbs using safe and proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Safely climb in and out of vehicles, and up and down stairs and ladders.

• Specific vision abilities required such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Endure various work environment factors including climatic temperature extremes such as cold, hot, wet, and/or humid conditions; and moving mechanical parts/equipment.

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided by the Lincoln Airport Authority.

Adherence to standards established in the LAA Employee Handbook, Airport Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other established safety requirements applicable to the position is required.

A majority of the work will be performed indoors with the general public. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The Employee is required to meet the above essential functions, skills, etc. The employee must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of pre-employment reference check, criminal history check (required by the Transportation Security Administration), physical assessment, drug screening, MVR (motor vehicle report), and other requirements as per Lincoln Airport Authority policy. Any associated costs for the screenings will be covered by the Lincoln Airport Authority.

The employee must possess, when hired, and maintain a valid State of Nebraska driver’s license while employed, and be insurable under normal rates.
