Water Fitness Instructors to lead engaging, safe, and effective aquatic fitness classes at Lincoln Public Pools this season. If you’re ready to motivate and help our community stay active in the water, apply today!
Season starts May 25 and ends August 9.

- Ballard 3901 N. 66th Street
- Belmont 12th & Manatt Streets
- Eden 4400 Antelope Creek Road
- Irvingdale 1900 Van Dorn Street
- Woods 33rd & J Streets
- Planning and instructing effective, safe, and engaging water fitness classes
- Communicating clearly and positively with participants
- Working as part of a team with pool staff and aquatics leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely lead group fitness classes in an aquatic setting
- Team-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Passion for fitness and helping others reach their goals
Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages. This is an unclassified (seasonal) position and not eligible for benefits.
Schedule: Classes will be scheduled either in the morning or in the evening (6:15-7:15 p.m.). Schedule will vary by pool location. Approximately 1-5 hours per week.
Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age or older
The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln.
Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
